It's Not Just My Story
It's not just my story. It's not just your story. None of us are a single, isolated individual. We don't exist in a world where it is just you or only me. We live in a place where life involves crossing paths, meeting, change, and dynamic possibilities. Our worlds collide in beautiful, God-ordained ways. We intertwine, mix, mingle, and influence one another. When we talk or get together, we impact each other.
There's no way this is just my story. You see, my story involves so many others. To claim my life as completely my own or solely belonging to me, I forget that those closest to me, and even those that seem to be far away, distant, or opposite me, had a profound effect on me, my life, and my story.

The concept is simple. I am not a entity on my own. I am the product of those who made me, those who raised me, those who taught me, grew up with me, befriended me, pushed me, challenged me, and helped me grow. I am also likewise a result of those who punished me, hurt me, harmed me, teased me, bullied me, name-called, doubted me, and invalidated me. My story is a compilation of all of those around me, for the entirety of my existence.
My existence would not be possible without God and my parents, but my parents' existence would not be possible without their parents and those who came before them. My life story would not be complete without my siblings or my husband. The story would surely be different without the bullies who teased and provoked me all through school or without my best friends. My story would be lacking without my mentors, teachers, pastors, and counselors. I could go on and on, but you get the point.
When asked to tell MY story, I'd be lying to not include this precious people that God created for me to be around for such a time as this. By not including these people, I'd miss entire days and seasons of my life, because if I don't interact with these people, I don't have much of a life or much of a life that is enjoyable living. So, it's not just my story, but the story of those you have shaped, influenced, impaced, and effected me. I am incredibly blessed by the people God has placed in my life.
I started this blog as a memoir to share some of my life stories with you. My goal is that these encourage and educate you on how to live a more joyful, healthier, full life; one of hope.
I write about my fascination with whole foods, my love of Jesus, my struggles, my childhood stories, my passion for education, and my devotion to creating a healthy life (body, mind, and spirit) for every person in the world.
