I'm So Blessed
I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed. Got this heartbeat in my chest. No, it doesn't matter about the rest. If I got You Lord, I'm so blessed.
And when I count the problems that I see, hope looks all but gone, but when I count the ways You're good to me, You got me counting all day long.
I'm so blessed. I'm so blessed. It doesn't matter about the rest, if I've got You Lord, I am so blessed.
I am so blessed to have access to many things that others do not. I am blessed to live in a place where I can freely worship my God, without fear of major persecution. I am blessed to have access to healthcare. I am extraordinarily blessed to have the ability, finances, life circumstances, support, determination, and intellect to not only utilize higher education, but to even return to get an advanced degree.I am blessed by a God who is not far off. My God is near and speaks to me. I am blessed by His loving arms and caring hands. I am blessed by the refuge He provides, the safety He gives, the opportunities He presents, and the gifts that He has given.
I am blessed with my dear friends who love, visit, and support me, half way across the country. I am blessed by Bryant, who encourages, supports, cares for, and rejoices with me. I am blessed by my family who raised me and are excited about my journeys.
I am blessed by the many who have encouraged my faith- Casey, Katie, Megan, Troy, Gordon, and Ruth come to mind, as well as Carol, Greg, Kathy, and numerous others that have helped me grow through A.W.A.N.A., CEF, camps, and youth groups. I am blessed with the ability to help lead youth and get to do awesome things with them- like go to trampoline parks, retreats, camps, and conferences. I am abundantly blessed by the people I get to influence and spur on, just as others have done for me. Their stories have allowed me to see God working.
I am blessed by the new people I have met through frisbee and kickball. I am blessed by my new geographic location that enabled me to attended four Christian concerts (and the Jonas Brothers!) in just four months, including CAIN. CAIN blessed me first with their music and then blessed me with their concert. It's not often that you find a band or artist with most of an album that slaps, but here is CAIN, doing just that.
I thought You'd call the shots from across the sea, but You got down in the boat with me.
No ones ever done for me the things I watched You do.
I know I've got a ways to go, could You walk with me that far? I'm so glad You called my name.
I'm bracing for the first stone. You touch my face to let me know my accusers are gone.
I thought You'd take Your place in the Judge's seat, but You wrote in the sand for me.
Would You remember me tonight? And with Your dying breath You welcome me to paradise.
I am blessed that my God is always with me, always for me, and doing things for me. I am blessed that my God is a God of love. I am blessed that my God is merciful and fights for me.
There ain't nothing that He can't do.
Now He's giving that power to you.
these encourage and educate you on how to live a more joyful, healthier, full life; one of hope.
I write about my fascination with whole foods, my love of Jesus, my struggles, my childhood stories, my passion for education, and my devotion to creating a healthy life (body, mind, and spirit) for every person in the world.
